Show space taken for Rome exhibition breaks the 6,000m2 mark

Bookings for EFTTEX 2008 have increased 16% year on year, it was revealed today – with 184 exhibitors so far attending from 35 countries.

Europe’s leading fishing trade show takes place in Rome on June 13-15, 2008 and is likely to be one of the largest annual exhibitions ever staged by EFTTA, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association.

To date, the EFTTEX show team has booked 6,172m2 of stand space, an increase of 16% for the same time last year, when 5,332m2 had been allocated.

A number of new exhibitors booked stand space through December and early January, taking the current exhibitor portfolio to 184 from 35 countries across the continent.

Show organisers are also processing several new inquiries and will be attending exhibitions across Europe in the coming months to promote EFTTEX – particularly in Italy. Confidence is high that EFTTEX 2008 will be bigger than last year’s 7,187m2 exhibition, which itself was the largest in the last three years.

First time EFTTEX exhibitors include: Kryston Advanced Angling, Ningbo Jessn Ocean Exploitation Co. Ltd, Uoya Co Ltd, Weihai Yuanwei Fishing Tackle Co. Ltd, R J Tackles PVT Ltd, Zpey System AS, Weihai Baohua Fishing Tackle Co. Ltd and Innovative Lures ApS

Kate Scrafton, EFTTEX exhibition manager, said: “We are delighted with the current booking figures, which demonstrate that the global fishing trade clearly supports EFTTEX and recognises it as the leading tackle trade show in Europe.

“With the additional work currently underway to find more exhibitors, we believe this year’s EFTTEX could be one of the best ever.”

EFTTEX 2008 – Europe’s premier tackle trade exhibition – is already the fastest-selling show in the 27-year history of the event.

Some of the tackle industry’s biggest names have already confirmed their attendance at the modern and stylish Fiera di Roma venue in Rome next June 13th-15th, proving once again that EFTTEX is Europe’s only ‘must-attend’ tackle show.

Major brands including Rapala, Shimano, Hardy & Greys and DAM-Svendsen already have secured some of the largest stands at what is the largest fishing tackle trade show this side of the Atlantic.
