The Fishes of the Cotswold Water Park
Wednesday October 17th, 7.30pm
Gateway Centre, Spine Road, South Cerney GL7 5TL

The Cotswold Water Park is blessed with a diversity of fresh waters, both small and large, standing and running, filled with a wide range of fish species. All are fascinating, from the giants and the killers to the smallest and least conspicuous.  The lime rich clear waters of the area provide an excellent habitat for these fish, and with angling taking place on 75 of the 150 lakes in the Cotswold Water Park, this is an extremely popular pastime.

The CWP Trust is delighted to welcome renowned expert and author Dr Mark Everard to the Gateway Centre for the first time – he will give a lively and extremely informative illustrated talk about the fish of the area – this talk is aimed at everyone, not just the angling community, so come along and find out more about these fascinating creatures of the deep (and not so deep).

Mark is the author of ten books including many on fish – his first and most abiding infatuation is with the fishes of fresh waters ranging from the smallest species (he holds the World Record rod-caught minnow!) to specimens of all other sizes and kinds, and from the Himalayas to Wiltshire. These talks are always very popular so please do make sure you get your tickets early so as to avoid disappointment.
