News Release From The Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association

The Norfolk Anglers Conservation Association (NACA) in partnership with the Environment Agency is holding an angling taster day with free coaching. The event will be taking place on Wednesday 28th October 2009 from 10:00am – 4:30pm on the River Wensum at Riverside Road in Norwich, between Carrow Bridge and the new footbridge at the turning basin.

There will be an emphasis on newcomers, young and lapsed anglers, who will be able to fish with the ADB and PAA qualified coaches that will be set up to provide instruction. There is no age limit and no fishing tackle or bait is needed. Fishing licences to cover anyone fishing on the day are also supplied.

Bait for coaching will be provided by Angling Direct.

Demonstrations will be ongoing and include:

  • Pole fishing

  • Stick float fishing

  • Waggler fishing

  • Feeder fishing

  • Pike handling and welfare


Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
