Hardy and Greys experts packing their kilts in preparation for this year’s Scone Palace fair say meeting fellow fishing enthusiasts is their favourite part of the event.

Area Sales Manager John Henderson, who along with consultant Chris Guthrie and Academy members Tom and Jean Marshall, will be attending the Game Conservancy Scottish Fair from June 30 • July, said the company’s staff and representatives prided themselves on their approachability and he hoped anglers seeking advice found this of benefit.

“We really enjoy meeting our customers on a one to one basis and talking to them about anything and everything,” said John.

The Fair is one of the main annual countryside events in Scotland. John and his colleagues will be giving help and advise on all aspects of rod selection as well as practical casting demos and tuition. In addition, Chris Guthrie will be showing his casting prowess and helping in the stillwater field while Tom and Jean Marshall, who organise fishing holidays at their By Brechin guest house, are there as Salmon fishing specialists.

At the same time, every Hardy and Greys dealer with a stand will have support from a member of the company’s sales team. They will be on hand to give advice on the all the rods and their appropriateness for different fishing styles.

“There will be few questions that this elite group cannot answer,” said John.
