Chub are pleased to formally announce they have recruited two new members to join the Chub Carp Academy.
John Patterson and Darren Belton come to the Chub Academy with a wealth of experience. John, who has been carp fishing for seventeen years, boasts a Mirror personnel best of 45lb 10oz and a Common personal best of 34lb 12oz. John is dedicated to fishing, enjoys sharing experiences through writing and has had several articles published in various magazines over the years.
John Patterson said;
‘I am very pleased to join the Chub Carp Academy and I am looking forward to working with Chub in the future. We have some very exciting developments ahead of us.’
Darren Belton has been fishing for thirty years, exclusively for carp for the last twenty. Living in Kent, Darren has a good selection of waters available for his use and has been fortunate enough to have caught nine fish over 40lb.

Iain McGeary, Chub Carp Academy Manager states;
‘We are delighted to welcome both John and Darren into the Academy. Both have a wealth of experience and knowledge, and will be a great asset to the company. They will be working closely with Lee Collings and Kevin Benham in the development and product testing processes, and also representing the brand at shows and events.’
John and Darren join the highly talented academy team that includes Jason Green, Lee Collings and Chris Lowe.
