News Release From Bag'em Matchbaits

Southern match angler, Jonathan Watt from Lewes in East Sussex has joined the hugely successful Bag’em matchbaits team.

Described as one of Britain’s hottest match anglers in The Angling Times in 2006, Jonathan regularly takes part in competitions on the open match circuit in the south east and has broken match records on several venues including Framfield Fisheries, Passies Ponds and Old Bury Hill with huge carp weights.

Jonathan also broke the UK record for the biggest pole caught fish under NFA match rules when he landed a monster wels catfish, at the Faulkenvile fishery in East Sussex. Tipping the scales at 33lb, this was one of a combined five fish haul that went well over 100lb in a team contest on the venue.

The Hardy Greys consultant was understandably pleased with the new deal and said:
“I am delighted to have joined the select few at Bag’em. This is a great opportunity for me. Over the last few weeks I have been familiarising myself with the product range especially Neil Machin’s Pro Competition line. These are top quality and I know they are going to enhance my effectiveness to consistently put together winning bags of fish.

The many years of practice are now starting to pay dividends, with modern approaches continually evolving, you need to be able to change and adapt. Having faith in your bait and tackle is essential. Going forwards, I would like to continue to be competitive and I know Bag’em’s Pro-competition range will help me to stay ahead of the game.”
