Angling For Youth Development News Release

Trustees, Instructors and students of Angling For Youth Development (AFYD) are attending at the Kenmore Salmon Opening on the River Tay on the 15th January, 2010,  they are to be joined by a number of prominent and senior Scottish politicians from across the political spectrum all of whom are keen to see AFYD rolled out across the UK.  They will also be joined by senior police officers who support this initiative.

The Opening celebrations, hosted by one of AFYD’s leading supporters, the Kenmore Hotel, commence at 0930 a.m. and throughout the day AFYD will be offering fly tying and casting lessons to children and young people who attend.

Also joining AFYD are members of Guide Fishing Tackle and Fastnet Developments, both companies who have developed ranges of fishing tackle for use by AFYD.   The new Vision AFYD Attack starter set of Rod, Reel, and Line, distributed by Guide and the Fastnets AFYD Game and the new Coarse / Specimen nets will also be on display and offered for sale.

About 0915 hours a presentation will take place to the North Lanarkshire AFYD of its new equipment by Fastnets and Guide.
