News from the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club

On Sunday 13th March the Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing Club held their first event of 2011.

Held at Whiney Loch, Berwickshire the fly fishing event saw ten ladies brave the bleak conditions to attend.

Almost all of the ladies caught fish, assisted by coaches Lucy Bowden (level 2) and Jenny Lindley (level 1). The day also saw the Club gain a new member.

Fishing For Everyone Ladies Fishing ClubClub Founder and Chairman, Lucy Bowden said;
“It was great to see the ladies all back together again and enjoying being out fishing after a long winter off. The ladies were all full of enthusiasm for the day and almost everyone caught fish, including Heather Bealby who landed her first ever Trout.”

The Club are holding two events in April. The first of which is a junior day on Sunday 10th at Chatton Trout Fishery. This event is open to all juniors under the age of 16, they do not need to be club members of have ever fished before. The club are also holding a members only instructional day on Saturday 16th April at Hardy & Greys Ltd. This event will see top angling instructors show the ladies their top fishing tips.

The Club are also attending the Hardy & Greys open day on Saturday 2nd April where they will have a stand running a raffle. The open day is free to attend and the club welcome anyone to visit their stand.
