The club is receiving many calls about membership at the moment. Members are reminded that the “club office” is only a contact number manned by volunteers – they are not able to answer some days or evenings. If you leave a message someone will return your call ASAP. Any member who has not paid the £3.50 charge for this seasons new key will not be sent one and will be unable to enter our locked fisheries. If a key is requested other than when purchasing a membership then a £1 postage charge will be added to the £3.50 key cost making it £4.50.
Last season we received many of your fishing holiday snaps so please send them in again this year!
Carlo Borromeo caught a hard fighting 22lb 2oz mirror from North House Lake. Carlo had to get in the lake up to his waist to eventually land the fish which he caught fishing a milky toffee pop up over Source boilies and added a 21lb 15oz heavily scaled mirror later in the session on the same tactics. On the same lake Luke Smith managed a 16lb 6oz common while Ian Betson had a 9lb 7oz bream and 4lb 5oz tench. Whilst most fish for the carp North House produces bream well over 10lb and tench over 9lb.
On the adjacent South Lagoon Darren Lamey tempted a 13lb common.
Steve Slight has sent an entry for the July photo competition taken at Beckerings Reservoir which if you look closely you can see is a rat helping itself to mixers that had blown into the margin!
The winner of our June 2012 photo competition which closes on 30th June 2012 will receive a terrific Starmer Baits bait package. It is open to anyone (members and non members) submitting a digital photo taken on any Luton AC controlled water and it can be of absolutely anything eg a sunset on the canal, a nice fish, wildlife etc. The photos submitted cannot be over a month old, the judges decision is final and no correspondance will be entered into regarding the result. So get snapping and forward your pictures to our usual email address catchreports@lutonac.org or send from your mobile to 07704462635.
We are pleased to announce a new photo competition purely for the predator angler sponsored by King of the Pond www.kingofthepond.com It is open to anyone submitting a digital photo of a pike, zander, chub, perch, eel or catfish caught from a Luton AC controlled water. The photos must have been taken on or after 1st June 2012 and the closing date for entries is 31st March 2013. The judges decision is final and no correspondance will be entered into regarding the result.
