Floods and now a cold snap have meant only the hardy few braving the elements.

Mark Woolley and Steve Sharp visited Beckerings Reservoir on 1st December and arrived in sub zero temperatures. This was Marks first time on the reservoir having just purchased the great value Winter Ticket. Within 15 minutes of casting Mark was slipping the net under a stunning zig caught 15lb 4oz mirror and followed that up with a 15lb 8oz common on a Starmer pink pop up. Steve also got in on the action with a 22lb 10oz fin and scale perfect common plus a bream both of which came to pop ups fished alongside pva bags of crushed Starmer baits.

Mark Ridgeway also fished Beckerings and caught 3 double figure carp and an unseasonal tench during his 24 hour session. Marks patience paid off as he left one of his rods in position for 22 hours before it finally produced a fish.
Prior to the cold snap Ric Iles fished Beckerings overnight in high winds of 50mph and three hours of heavy rain but was rewarded with six carp and two bream.

On the South Lagoon Dave Brosnan managed a 7lb zander with James Bishop tempting zander of 9lb 2oz and 8lb 10oz plus a 7lb pike. The South Lagoon is a terrific predator water and often produces double figure zander to over 16lb+ along with decent pike and eels.

Roger Wills won the November 2012 photo competition with his photo taken of the River Great Ouse at Wyboston.
