Sunday 13th May Biddenham
As in previous years, attending a work party will mean you do not have to pay a work party levy if in an eligible membership class. It is important that all those that plan attending the Biddenham work party bring with them as many tools as possible to use on the day eg spades, shovels, hammers, rakes etc

15 people attended the North House Lake work party last weekend with extra wire fitted to older sections of the otter fence, three fish landing steps built, some of the invasive lillies removed, bridge stained, grass cut and some groundwork completed.

Kevin Day was at North House Lake and landed a 31lb 10oz common. Scott Yates fished the same venue tempting a 15lb common on a Source pop-up over a scattering of Innovate Squid2t. John Hansell managed a 13lb 4oz common, John Stafferton a 17lb 12oz mirror and 9lb bream, Scott Larman a 17lb common and Darren Eagles a 14lb common.

Neil Williamson caught an 18lb 10oz common from the South Lagoon on double corn dipped in Mad Tackles sweet crab, Neil was after bream so the common was a nice bonus. Neil has had over 100lb of bream over the last 3 trips. Andy Brown was also fishing the Lagoon and landed a 20lb 4oz common.

Mark Ridgeway fished a very wet Beckerings Reservoir for the day on Monday 9th April but the fish didn’t mind as he caught 5 mirrors at 24, 20-4, 19-14, 18-6 & 14 plus a common of 20-2. Steve Coleman also visited Beckerings and managed a 17lb common.

Westoning based angler Martin Rix enjoyed some action at Woodlands on Tuesday using waggler tactics and red maggot just off the bottom he was reqarded with fine roach, rudd and a nice perch of 1lb 7oz.

Venue regulars Tony Sessions and his fishing partner Bill were also onto the fish on Tuesday and Thursday with some nice plump spring tench and carp.

New Lavendon bailiff David de La Mare visited The Mere and had plenty of action from the venue’s resident roach and rudd – all fish coming to maggot.
