Weekly fishing report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area sponsored by Starmer Baits

At North House Lake Geoff Parker landed a 30lb 4oz common while at the same venue ‘Shy’ Simon Jackson had commons of 27lb 2oz, 22lb and 18lb, Dave Jackson an 18lb common, Alan Wilkie a 20lb 7oz common and Roger Perkiss commons of 25lb 9oz and 16lb 8oz.

On the adjacent South Lagoon ‘Ginge’ tempted a 3lb 8oz eel on worm along with numerous bream to 4lb. ‘Old John’ was also amongst the Lagoon bream netting 12 to 4lb.

At Beckerings Reservoir Matthew Wood caught a 19lb 8oz mirror followed by a 16lb common and then beat his personal best by half a pound with a 21lb 8oz common.

Dave Murdoch 9lb 1oz commonDave Murdoch was also at Beckerings catching a 9lb 1oz common along with a 4lb bream and sent in pictures of his carp and a lovely sunrise.

The Grand Union Canal is in good form with plenty of carp, bream, roach and perch being caught on almost every section. Sadly anglers are still putting specimen fish in small keepnets and even a carp was found in a keepnet today whilst I was out on patrol along with anglers who had no landing net with them!
