But Be Quick!

If you’ve ever moved home, you’ll know what a major pain in the backside it is. Often, you just wish you could chuck everything away and start from fresh in your new house. It would make life so much easier!

In a way, that’s what Mistral Baits are doing right now.

With a move to a newer, bigger factory looming, they have decided that it’s better to sell their current stock off at what can only be described as ridiculously cheap prices! When you consider the cost of moving such vast quantities of stock, along with all the manual lifting involved, I suppose it makes sense. In these credit-crunch times, it’s a win-win situation; Mistral don’t have to move their bait and we, the anglers, get a chance to snap up a season’s supply at less than trade price!

This is going to be a very short-lived offer, I’m sure, as they are currently selling 10kg of boilies for £35 and 70kg for £200. Yes, you did read that right!

In fact, it gets better. If you’re embarking on a baiting campaign this year, you can get off-cuts and run-ends at £20 for 10kg.

You’ll have to be quick, as it’s only while stocks last. Just visit www.mistralbaits.co.uk and go to the ‘Production Over-Runs’ section of the site. If you’re quick, you can click here to see the April 2009 list in pdf format. Please note that these are over-runs or discontinued lines. However, the carp don’t know that and they will still put a lot of fish on the bank!

I haven’t used Mistral Baits boilies for years, simply because I get sent bits of bait by companies all the time, so rarely need to buy any (that’s not actually as great as it sounds, as it makes it hard to find a good bait and stick to it!). However, long-term visitors to Anglers’ Net may remember that it was the first real carp bait I ever used. In fact, you can read a nine-year old review of The Remedy by clicking here. I also used to do well with their Rosehip Isotonic boilies and a liver bait. In fact, having had a quick look at their site, I wish I’d stayed in touch with them, as there are some cracking baits in the range. Mistral have been around for 21 years – you don’t survive that long unless you’re doing something right!

And if you’re wondering if I got paid for writing this, the answer’s “No”. I simply received an email out of the blue and was so blown-away by the offer that I immediately rang most of my carping mates and sat here and typed this out. Angling’s often about helping out others, and that applies to my work with Anglers’ Net as much as it does to my fishing on the bank.

So, if you fancy a cheap bait, don’t just sit there. Visit www.mistralbaits.co.uk and get your wallet out!

I’m also told that trade enquiries are welcome.
