Hardy and Greys has landed one of the biggest names in carp fishing.

Nick Helleur has joined the world-renowned fishing company as a carp consultant.

A self-confessed obsessive carp angler, 35 year old Nick says that he is looking forward to supporting the brand and growing it.

“These are exciting times for Hardy, Greys and Chub and I can’t wait to get started,” he said.

“This is a great career move for me,” he added. “I’ve probably spent five lifetimes on the bank and grew up fishing with some of the major role models of our time.

“I am very fortunate to be able to make a living out of the sport that I love. I have been lucky enough to fish all over the world and I have a huge range of contacts which I will now be able to use to benefit Hardy and Greys.”

Nick’s appointment is part of a strategy announced by Hardy and Greys to maintain and improve their presence in the coarse market.

The Northumbrian-based company also recently announced that Andy Petherick had joined the company as Marketing Manager for the Coarse and Sea disciplines.

Andy, said: “We are very excited to have someone from the carp world of Nick’s stature.

“His appointment will further strengthen our team and help us to move forward with our carp product development.”

Nick’s new role will encompass using his extensive knowledge of the coarse market to research future developments and support product innovation for the company whilst helping to develop the Hardy, Greys and Chub brands.

He will also be closely involved in the extensive programme of national and international trade and consumer shows attended by Hardy and Greys and will work with the company to maintain its media profile.
