Steve & verity Ludlow fished Deep Lake on the 28th July, Steve fishing a 4mm pellet under waggler tackle, caught a steady succession of the lakes small Carp to 0-8-0 and a surprise Tench of around the same weight.
Steve & verity Ludlow were to be found fishing Deep Lake at Goose Green again on the 30th July, Steve reports the sport as being slower than his previous visit to the lake a few days earlier, however he did catch some of the lakes resident small Carp on paste, a change of bait to pellet saw an increase in his catch rate with a steady succession of small Carp being caught, Steve also tells us that a very tentative bite late in the day saw him connect with one of the lakes larger Carp which gave a hugely spirited fight on light tackle.
Tony Olliver fished Canada Lake at Goose Green on the 31st July, Tony fishing the pole reports the capture of a Common Carp that went to 9-8-0, Tony added that he thought the thing would never give up the fight and that at one stage he was quite worried that his pole would snap due to the pressure of the fight the fish was giving
Ryan Giles and son Joel fished deep Lake on the 2 August, Joel who was fishing the whip with maggot on the hook caught many of the lakes small Carp, plus Skimmers, Roach & possibly the smallest Gudgeon I have ever seen, a picture of young Joel and his catch is attached.

Mick kept feeding corn and groundbait through a feeder at regular intervals with a worm and corn hook bait, until eventually the rod tip pulled round and a thirty minute plus battle ensued on 6lb mainline to a size 12 barbless hook, the result, a 21-0-0 Common Carp , picture attached of Mick & his Carp
