Catch Reports
Goose Green

Sunday the 30th of September saw remarkably few people at Goose Green, Ron Short was to be found on peg 19 down on Lake 2, Ron fishing the pole with meat on the hook caught a steady of the lakes resident small Carp, plus skimmers to 2-0-0, he also added some better Carp to his tally with fish to 6-0-0.

Fellow Goose Green regular Les Taylor settled himself down on Lake 4 with his trusty waggler rod, unusually for Les he only caught a solitary Bream of 3-7-0 during his session, also on Lake 4 was Ray Clark, Ray fishing the pole with pellet and worm, caught Perch, Roach & Skimmers.

Also at Goose Green this Sunday were Terry Goodwin & Chris Hilliard, both anglers fished Lake 3 with ledgered bread flake, terry reports catching  a 6-12-0 Mirror carp, whilst Chris had to content himself with a 6-4-0 Mirror Carp.

Ray & Sandy Emery were to found at their normal haunt of Lake 3 at Goose Green, Sandy fishing the waggler towards the central island with maggot on the hook caught two Carp, the best being 5-2-0, Bream to 4-8-0, Roach, Rudd, Perch & Tench, also on the Lake was Trevor Mordle, Trevor who elected to fish the straight lead for change, unfortunately blanked.

Following on from her success the previous day, Sandy Emery made a return visit to Goose Green on Friday the 28th, once again settling on Lake 3 and fishing the waggler, Sandy caught Roach to 0-10-0, Skimmers, Bream, Perch and a Crucian Carp that tipped the scales at 1-12-0.

Fishery News

Deep Lake remains closed and will remain off limits until April the 1st 2008, please also be aware if you walk around the lake, that some areas are very boggy at the moment, please do not venture too close to the edge for your own safety.

Following a successful work party on the 29 September, 95% of the lake is now planted with reeds, rushes & sedges, all we have to do now is lay the paths and build the swims, some help would be appreciated.
