Tony Denton & son Sam fished the middle lake at Moor Farm on the 25th August, using hair rigged meat tipped with corn, fishing towards the lily pads in the corner of the lake resulted in a 16-0-0 Mirror Carp for Tony, with his son, Sam, unfortunately losing a large fish at the net, Sam did however catch several smaller carp and some Tench to round of the session. Tony & Sam returned later in the week where the pair enjoyed catching lots of small Carp, with Sam winning the day with a 6-0-0 Common
Carl Holton fished the River Arun on the 23 August, Carl, who was fishing for the rivers Carp with 14mm Halibut pellets on the outgoing tide, had an unexpected surprise, rather than hook into his intended quarry, Carl instead hooked into a Barbel of 13-8-0, Carl also advises that he had five good Bream to round of his session. Barry Ginnaw & wife Karen fished the Arun at Greatham on the 31st August, Barry fished the waggler with maggot catching 50 fish (bleak and roach) for about 3-0-0, Karen had about 15 fish topped by a bream of 6-3-0.
Mark Dibble fished the River Adur on the 26th August, fishing downstream of the White Bridge, Mark, who was using corn & meat on the feeder caught three Skimmers of between about 1lb-4-0 & 2-0-0, five Eels & a 7lb 2oz Common Carp, Mark also lost a large Mirror Carp when his hook pulled but, he suspect that may have been foul hooked though.
