News Release

Luke Weston of Chigwell was as pleased as punch when he visited Redbridge Fishing Lakes with his Dad where he received his introduction into the world of angling.

Luke, one of the youngest members of Redbridge Fishing Lakes at only eight years of age was elated at catching his very first fish. Local lad Luke and his father Tony Weston had a great day at Redbridge Fishing Lakes, which is stocked with a plethora of specimen silver fish, including, roach, Rudd, Tench, Brown Goldfish, Chubb, Crusian Carp and many more.

Tony Weston, 38 is a keen angler and has been fishing now since he was 12 years old. “I normally go carp fishing nowadays,” says Tony. “I wanted to introduce Luke to fishing as its a good age to start, but I thought it best for him to start on smaller fish to begin with so that he could get used to catching, without the chance of losing tackle if he managed to get a bite from a larger fish.”
