Barbel back on top!

After a roach dominated previous few results, it was all change at this match, which saw two double figure barbel secure the top places.

At Peg 15 Daiwa Dorking team man Dave Harpin added a double figure pellet caught fish to his catch of small roach for a 12-3-0 total.

Four pegs above Dave, at Peg 11, Alex Clements (Maver Farnborough) was a long time leader after landing an 11lb fish on long pole and chopped worm but his 11-9-0 total fell just short.

In third spot, the previous day’s winner Sam Wildsmith (Maver Barnsley) completed a very successful weekend by finishing with 11-7-0 of roach on bloodworm from Peg 24, three swims below the town bridge.

Fourth place, with 11-2-0 of bloodworm caught roach from Peg 5 went to Eric Yeomans (Shakespeare) and completing the frame was Ricky Teale (Saints) with 9-12-8 of bloodworm caught roach from Peg 50.
