Shakespeare Qualifier – Saturday July 24th, 2010 – 59 pegs

Rich vein of form continues!

Rich Reynolds’ (Quorn VDE ) rich vein of form continued with a 13-0-0 catch of hemp and tare caught roach from peg 35 on the Isbourne confluence. His third double figure roach catch from the stretch in three weeks generated widespread applause as his dominance of the river continues. Fishing 14 metres and a long line Rich picked off fish up to 8oz edging through a lightly shotted rig.

Chris Smith (Wye Angling) caught 8-8-8 of redfins from peg 48 on hemp for second. Chris just had the edge on Trevor Chalk (Evesham) who caught 8-6-0 of big roach in a short spell on favoured peg 46. Shakespeare’s Tony Skinner caught perch early before getting the roach going on hemp at peg 20 to weigh in 8-2-0 and bag 4th place.

Qualifiers: Tony Skinner, Chris Smith, Paul Priday
