Snugpak’s Cocoon scoops the Sleeping category prize

Snugpak, the UK’s leading sleeping bag and insulated clothing manufacturer, has been announced as the WINNER of the Sleeping category at the UK Outdoor Industry Awards 2017 for its innovative Hammock Cocoon.

Snugpak’s Hammock Cocoon (RRP £79.95) is a unique all in one insulation system, designed to keep the user supremely warm and comfortable when sleeping outdoors. It fully encases the hammock from the bottom, all the way to the top (like a giant banana skin), trapping warm air inside the hammock, and it is a novel solution to the problem of sleeping bag and clothing insulation getting crushed under tension from the hammock. It features a full length zip for easy access in and out, and the Travelsoft filling provides great insulation and comfort. Made with Micro Diamond fabric with a Paratex antibacterial treatment, it is ideal for most hammocks without a built in mosquito net and comes with compression stuff sack for easy transportation.

Darren Burrell, Sales Director of Snugpak, said: “We are very pleased about winning the UK Outdoor Industry Award for the sleeping category. Snugpak prides itself for innovation and craftsmanship and we are incredibly proud of the products we develop. Winning the award is a real testament to the pioneering quality of our products and gives the brand superb endorsement not only from industry experts but also from the general public in a very competitive market.”

The UK Outdoor Industry Awards are an initiative of the Outdoors Industry Association (OIA), where over 100 entries across 10 categories were voted by industry experts who choose the finalists of each category. The finalist products were then displayed at the Outdoor Adventure & Camping Show in London in February where members of the public voted for the winner of each category, which were presented at the annual OIA Conference in March.
