Peterborough Arena hooks up with the angling event of the year

ARE you hooked on fishing? If so, top tips, expert advice and the chance to net a real bargain are among the many attractions in store at one of the most important dates in the angling calendar.

After moving to a bigger and better venue last year, Tacklefest – the summer’s biggest tackle show – is back at Peterborough Arena on Saturday May 12, 2012.

Whether a novice or an expert, there is something for all fishing fans and their families at Tacklefest 2012 – including demonstrations, free coaching, a casting interactive area, and lots of other great catches throughout the day!

Tacklefest 2012Organisers moved the event from the Peterborough Embankment to the Peterborough Arena in their search for a larger venue with an indoor location in which to house the popular retail zone.

Richard Lee, editor of Angling Times and part of the event organising team said: “Over 5,000 angling enthusiasts are expected to flock to Peterborough again this year to ensure they don’t miss out on the fishing event of the year.

“The Peterborough Arena at the East of England Showground meets our needs perfectly. The popular retail zone is now undercover, so bad weather won’t deter our loyal visitors.”

Peterborough Arena managing director Keith Dalton said: “We are thrilled that the Tacklefest organisers are back at Peterborough Arena again this year for what is such a popular event – once again giving us the chance to demonstrate to both event organisers and visitors what a great venue this is in terms of space, on-site facilities, catering and location.”
