At 11 a.m. Tuesday 26th
June 2007
at
“The Clothes Rail”, Whimsy House,
8 Worcester Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, Allan Suttie
will be
presented with a cheque for Two Thousand Pounds by ADAM BINDER of ADAM BINDER EDITIONS of Cirencester and Karen Phillips and Anita Mears, the proprietors
of The Clothes Rail.  The cheque
presentation follows the successful launch of the timed edition piece entitled “Spawn Free” which is helping to raise
funds for TROUT IN THE CLASSROOM UK.  The timed edition
piece is
a cold cast bronze
depicting
two rising trout.

Allan Suttie said “I can only thank Adam,
Karen and Anita for their support and generosity towards Trout in the Classroom
programme.  As a direct result of the
“Spawn Free” launch I have had two more schools sign up to receive their micro
hatcheries at the end of the year.  Those
schools being
St. George’s C E school, Kidderminster and Golden Hillocks
school, at Sparkbrook,
Birmingham.  This coming year looks as if it will be quite
busy for us, with a number of other Schools, both in
England and Scotland, keen to take on the
programme.  Our problem will be to obtain
sufficient funding to match the growing demand for our programme.  With the continued help of Adam, Karen, and
Anita I am sure that Trout in the Classroom will continue to grow”.

Karen Phillips
and Anita Mears, the proprietors of The Clothes Rail have supported the cause
with a passion. Karen said  “Anita and I both think that the Trout in the
Classroom programme is a wonderful concept.
Having met some of the children at the “Spawn Free” Launch from one of
the schools already involved in the project and hearing from them what they
have obtained from it we are both more convinced that our local schools should
get involved.  We are supporting this
programme to the extent that anyone one ordering any item of  our stock “on line” and indicating they wish
to support the project will lead to 10% of the value of the order being donated
to Trout in the Classroom UK”.

Trout
in the Classroom UK is an award winning programme based in Primary Schools
throughout the
UK and is an educational
programme based upon the development of native Brown Trout, reared in micro
hatcheries within the school, and released in to the school’s local river.
