Uxbridge Rovers Angling Conservation Society have announced that you can now apply and pay for membership to the Society online! This offers any angler (except juniors) wishing to join the Society the opportunity to join online and pay by credit or debit card. For those wishing to take advantage of the concessionary offers a mail back rebate scheme is being operated. There is also the facility for existing members of the Society to renew their membership online using their credit or debit card. Because this facility is only open to existing members it is not necessary to operate the rebate scheme.
The shop also offers a range of angling related items including clothing carrying the Society Logo. Members of the Society logging onto the shop with their user name and password qualify for a minimum discount of 5% on the shop prices. The shop is operated by Jerboa ltd for Uxbridge Rovers with the sale of items contributing to the cost of running the shop and credit card scheme. Uxbridge Rovers receive a commission on all sales (excluding memberships) made through the shop.
Offering payment online through a credit or debit card simplifies the payment process and where members are contacted through email offers the possibility of immediate response via a link in the email. The membership scheme can be operated at a reasonable cost for any other club or Society so interested. Thereby avoiding the significant one off costs associated with such a scheme.
