Val O’Connor from Milton Keynes banked her new personal best mirror at 48.08 from Angling Lines Morganes lake in France on the 15th of May. Fishing with 15lb main line, an IQ stiff rig and size 6 hook she took the big mirror on a popped up single Tiger Nut up over a small bed of pellet.
This was Val’s second visit to Morganes and she took advantage of the lakeside accommodation and fished days only… but that didn’t stop her putting together an impressive catch. The big fish topped an impressive 10 carp haul, including other mirrors of 29.08 & 29.02. In total the party of 3 anglers had a mighty 1,000lbs of carp and 2 catfish.
