Another tremendous week for fishing at Wellsfield, and excellent for this time of year, with many anglers bagging their fish limits using fly and bait techniques.
Many 5lb trout caught this week. Average weight was 3lb 2oz.
The increased stocking program continues for the start of the year.
Club and corporate day bookings are now being taken for 2009 season.
ONE troutmasters specimen was caught this week: A 10lb 8oz rainbow by Mr Miller (Linlithgow) on a Black Nomad in his 3 for 18lb.
One £50 Prize Yellow Tagged Trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Wheeler (Larbert) in his bag of 3 trout for 12lb using buzzers.
Best flies this week: Yellow Dancer, Fritz Patterns, Black Buzzers, Bloodworm.
Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Worms.
