The fishery is still open till 8pm 7 days per week. The two fly fishing ponds and the “any method” bait fishing pond fished very well again this week. The average trout weight was 3lb 2oz with many fish in the 4lb – 6lb size range caught.
TWO specimens were caught this week: Mr Douglas (Falkirk) landed a nice 12lb rainbow trout in his 4 for 18lb and Mr Sneddon (Cumbernauld) landed a nice 9lb rainbow using maggots.
ONE Yellow £50 Prize tagged trout was caught this week, by lucky angler Mr Young (Bonnybridge).
Best flies this week: Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Damsel, Yellow Dancer fished on a floating line. Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Mepp Spinners.
