The two fly fishing ponds and the “any method” bait fishing pond fished very well again this week. The average trout weight was 3lb 4oz with many fish in the 4lb – 6lb size range caught.
TWO specimens were caught this week: Mr Kerr (Carronshore) landed a superb 12lb rainbow on the fly and Mr Dougal (Bridge of Allan) landed a 11lb rainbow using lures.
ONE Yellow £50 Prize tagged trout was caught this week, by lucky angler Mr Murdoch (Bathgate).
Best flies this week: Buzzers, Diawl Bach, Damsel, Yellow Dancer fished on a floating line. Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Mepp Spinners.
