The Wellsfield Flymasters 2010 Open Competition is this Saturday 1st May 2010.
Start Time: 8am. Entry Fee: 8hr/5 Fish Permit £25 + Tag £1 = £26. Free entry for competition.
1st Prize: £100 cash and Trophy. 2nd Prize: Bottle Whisky, 3rd Prize: Bottle Whisky.
The fishery fished very well again this week for fly and bait anglers. The fishery is now open till dusk 7 days per week for evening sessions. Average weight 3lb 2oz with many caught in the 4lb-6lb range.
ONE Red £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Thompson (Bainsford).
Best Flies this week: Silver Humungus, Yellow Dancer, Damsel Nymph, Diawl Bach, Traffic Light Epoxy Buzzer. Best Bait: Orange Powerbait, Worms, Maggots, Mepp Spinners size 1.
