The evening sessions continue at Wellsfield Fishery and the fishery is open late ’til 8pm.
A fantastic week for fishing at Wellsfield. Many anglers caught their fish limits. All 3 lochans fished very well. Average trout size was 3lb 4oz, with many in the 4lb – 6lb range. Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout featured. Many doubles were stocked this week to add to the fun.
TWO double figure specimens were caught this week and over 25 fish over the 5lb mark: A 11lb rainbow by Mr Wilson (Bridge of Allan) using goldbead lures in his bag of 3 fish for 18lb 2oz, and a 9lb rainbow for Mr Howatt (Kincardine) using powerbait in his 4 fish limit for 21lb.
ONE Yellow £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught by lucky angler Mr Martin (Bonnybridge) using diawl bachs.
