The evening sessions have started at Wellsfield Fishery and the fishery is opening late now till 8pm.
The increased stocking program continues and fantastic sport was had at Wellsfield this week with plenty of trout caught on all 3 lochans for fly and bait anglers. Average trout size was 3lb 2oz, with many in the 4lb – 5lb range. Rainbows, Blues and Brown Trout featured.
TWO specimens was caught this week: A 12lb 4oz rainbow by Mr McGuire (Kincardine) using ugly buggers in his bag of 4 fish for 24lb, and a 8lb rainbow for Mr Hogg (Alloa) using lob worms in his 3 for 16lb.
ONE Yellow £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught by lucky angler Mr McGlinn (Haggs) using the buzzer.
Best flies this week: Black Dancer, UV Grizzlecats, Ugly Buggers, Black/Green Fritz, Epoxy Buzzers, PTN, Hares Ear Nymph, Hot Head Damsel.
Best bait: Power Bait, Power Pellets, Maggots and Spinners.
