The Wellsfield Flymasters 2010 Open Competition was won on Saturday by Mr K Skilling (Shotts) with 5 fish for 21lb, best a 9lb 2oz rainbow trout winning him the annual trophy and £100 cash.
The fishery fished very well again this week for fly and bait anglers. The fishery is now open till dusk 7 days per week for evening sessions. Average weight 3lb 2oz with many caught in the 4lb-6lb range.
TWO Red £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week by lucky anglers A Gallagher (Camelon) 3lb red tagged rainbow and T Young Jnr (Stirling) 5lb red tagged rainbow.
Best Flies this week: Black Tadpole, Hot Head Damsel, Diawl Bach, Black/Orange cheek buzzer, Bibio Snatcher. Best Bait: Green Powerbait, Worms, Maggots, Tazmanian Devils.
