The fishery will be completely Ice Free and open all winter thanks to the Ice Prevention Wave Machines installed on all 3 lochans.
Names are now being taken for the Christmas Open Fishing Competition on Sunday 21st December and also the Boxing Day Open Fishing Competition.
The fishery fished well again this week. The ponds were ice-free at the weekend keeping many anglers happy and the thaw also helped. Most trout were caught at a depth of 4-6 feet.
ONE double figure trout was landed this week: A 12lb rainbow by Mr McLaughlan (Grangemouth) from the bait pond in his catch of 4 trout for 20lb using worms.
ONE Yellow £50 tagged trout was caught this week from the top pond by lucky angler Mr Baxter (Falkirk) using a black & green fritz in his 3 for 14lb.
Best flies this week: Sparklers, Zonkers, Mini-Cats, Bloodworm fished on an intermediate line. Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Worms.
