The fishery fished superb this week for fly and bait anglers and there is a massive head of trout in the ponds at the moment. We are open till 9pm 7 days a week, come up and gives us a try.
The Wellsfield Kingfishers Junior League was won by Jay Willis (U/12’s) and by Jonathan Ewart (U/16’s) who both had over 75lb weight for 24 trout. They won trophies and vouchers for tackle prizes.
THREE troutmaster specimen trout were caught this week. A 12lb 8oz rainbow for Mr Souter (Dundee), a 10lb 8oz rainbow by Mr Levenden (Dalgety Bay) and a 9lb 8oz rainbow for Mr McCrae (Falkirk).
One red tagged trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Black (Kilsyth) winning him £50. There are loads of red tagged trout (£50 prize) and white tagged trout (£500) in the lochans to be caught by lucky anglers.
Best flies this week were: Crunchers, Epoxy Buzzers, F Flies, Diawl Bach, Yellow Dancer, Damsel. Best bait: Power Bait, Mepps, Taz’s, Worms, Maggots.
