The trout fishery is now open late 7 days a week till 8pm for evening sessions.
Another excellent week for fishing at Wellsfield Fishery for fly and bait fishers. Many anglers bagged their fish limits with fish over the week. Average weight of 3lb and many fish in the 4lb – 12lb range, with rainbows, blues and brown trout featuring in the catch returns.
One £50 Red Tagged trout was caught this week by Mr Sharp (Falkirk) from the bait pond.
Best flies: HH Damsel, Yellow Dancer, Snatcher, Okey Dokey, Diawl Bach, Epoxy Buzzers.
Best Baits: Maggot, Worm, Mepps Spinners
