The fishery is Ice Free thanks to the wave machines and aerators and all 3 lochans are open for fly and bait fishing. 8am – 5pm. The ponds have a huge number of fish in them for the time of year. Many anglers bagged their limits this week as a result. Average weight 3lb.
The 2009 Troutmasters Fishoff was won on Saturday by Mr Les McGeorge (Glasgow) for the seniors and Jonathan Ewart (Cumbernauld) for the Juniors. Both anglers qualified to participate in the UK Final at Grafham Water, England.
One Red Tagged Trout was caught this week on Sunday by regular angler Mr J Brogan (Airdrie) from the middle fly pond.
