All three lochans are fishing very well for both fly and bait anglers at the moment with rainbows and blue trout featuring amongst the catches. The average trout weight was 3lb 2oz this week.
Two doubles were caught this week. Mr Laird (Falkirk) landed a nice 12lb rainbow in his 4 for 19lb from the bait pond using worms. Mr Grant (Bathgate) landed a nice 10lb rainbow trout in his 3 for 16lb 8oz using lures.
All anglers should note that club bookings are now being taken for 2008 season. The fishery is open for fly and bait fishing 7 days per week from 8am till 5pm.
One Yellow Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week from the middle fly pond by lucky angler Mr Patterson (Camelon) using bait winning him £50.
Best flies this week: Orange Fritz, Yellow Dancer, Mini Cats, Bloodworm, Diawl Bachs and Buzzers. Best bait: Powerbait, Mepps, Worms and Maggots.
