FOUR specimen trout were caught this week.
Mr F Roberton (Tullibody) caught a superb 3 best 13lb 5oz rainbow in his bag of 3 for 18lb 12oz, on Friday, Mr A Cooper (Stirling) netted a cracking 10lb 5oz rainbow in his bag of 3 for 16lb 8oz on Sunday, Mr T McCall (Alloa) caught 1 fish for 8lb on Friday, and a member of the Dumfries F/C landed a 9lb rainbow on Saturday.
ONE Yellow Prize Tagged Trout were caught this week. Mr Wilson (Falkirk) from the bait pond winning him £50. Yellow £50 Tags are stocked weekly. There are plenty tags still in the water including two £500 White Tagged Fish.
Best flies this week: Buzzers, Fritzes, Mini-Cats, Yellow Dancer fished on a floating or intermediate line. Best bait: Orange Powerbait, Maggots and Mep Spinners.
