The evening sessions continue and fishery is open from 8am till 8pm, 7 days.
All three lochans fished very well this week with many happy anglers catching their bag limits. Over 300 trout were caught with an average catch of 3.5 trout per angler with an average weight of 3lb. Water clarity is excellent and most fish were feeding in the top 3 feet.
The Troutmasters Fish Off was won by Mr Chris Lyon (Plean) on Sunday.
ONE Yellow Prize Tagged Trout were caught this week. Mr Simpson (Larbert) from the bait pond winning him £50. There are still plenty more £500 White Tagged Trout and £50 Yellow Tagged Trout in the ponds.
TWO specimen trout were caught this week. Mr Davidson (Falkirk) landed a superb 12lb rainbow from the top fly pond using buzzers in his 4 for 21lb. Mr McLeish (Alloa) landed a nice 9lb rainbow in his 4 for 17lb 8oz from the top fly pond using lures.
Best flies this week: Buzzers, Blodworm, PTN, Yellow Dancer fished on a floating or intermediate line and a very slow retrieve. Best bait: White Powerbait, Maggots and Mep Spinners.
