The fishery is open from 8am till 5pm 7 days per week all winter.
All three ponds are fishing very well both fly and bait anglers. The colder temperatures are producing a lot of large fish at the moment with many fish in the 4lb – 7lb range. Some fine Rainbows and Blues were caught.
Two doubles were caught this week. Mr Laing (Bathgate) landed a fine 11lb rainbow in his 3 for 16lb using worm form the bait pond. Mr King (Stirling) landed a fine 10lb 4oz rainbow using lures in his 4 for 20lb from the fly ponds. M Simpson (Camelon) also landed 5 fish for 19lb, best 9lb rainbow.
Fly fishermen found a floating or intermediate line with goldhead lures, dancers, damsels and fritzes worked best. Bait anglers found powerbait, maggots and small spinners worked best.
One Yellow Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Logan (Perth) from the top fly pond winning him £50.
