The fishery is now open late every day until 8pm. As the nights draw out the fishery will be open till 10pm.

All 3 lochans are fishing well for fly fishermen and bait anglers.  There is a tremendous head of trout in the ponds at them moment.  The average trout weight was 3lb 3oz. One double figure specimen was caught – A nice 13lb rainbow for Mr Collins (Falkirk) in his 5 for 25lb using diawl bachs.  One Yellow £50 Prize Tag was caught this week by junior angler C Devine (Stirling).

Fly fishers are finding a floating line worked best with dancers, buzzers, nymphs and lures.  Bait anglers found spinners, powerbait and maggot worked best.

Some of the better catches this week include:

Reid (Falkirk) 5 for 17lb 2oz, best 6lb,
Ronald (Bonnybridge) for 17lb 4oz, best 5lb,
