The fishing has again been superb all week and the increased fish stocking programme is really paying off. Again many fish were caught this week and many 4-5lb fish were also caught over the coarse of the week.
Frank Robertson of Tullibody caught a Yellow £50 prize tag on Friday and Mr Thomson (Falkrik) also caught a tag mid-week, both anglers winning £50 prize money each. There are still loads of tags in the ponds to be caught. One double figure specimen trout was caught this week – a fine bar of silver rainbow at 14lb rainbow from the top fly pond by Mr Adams (Grangemouth) in his 5 for 27lb using lures. A 8lb rainbow was also caught by Mr Young (Bathgate) from the bait pond using maggot in his 4 for 18lb.
Viva Dancer, Olive Damsels and Blobs worked well for fly fishers. For bait anglers Spinner-meps, Powerbait, Maggots and worms were most successful.
