The fishery is open 8am-5pm, 7 days, thanks to the ICE PREVENTION WAVE MACHINES. All 3 lochans fished well this week for fly and bait anglers. Many anglers bagged their fish limits, average weight of fish was 3lb with a few larger fish in the 4lb – 7lb range.
There is a very good head of trout in all 3 lochans at the moment. The fishery has been stocked every week with up to 4 stockings per week. Best flies this week: Coral Dancer, Olive Damsel, Gold Sparkler and Buzzers fished at about 3-5ft from the surface. Best Baits: Powerbait, Maggots and Ledgered Worms.
Largest fish of the week was a 10lb 4oz rainbow trout for B Wallace (Falkirk) in his bag of 3 trout for 16lb 4oz.
One Red £50 prize tag was caught by lucky angler D Young (Carron) from the middle fly pond on an Orange Goldhead Fritz.
