The fishery NOW is open for
evening sessions every day until
Rainbows, blues and browns
were caught this week with an average weight of 3lb 3oz.
Three Troutmasters specimens
were caught this week:
Junior Angler Pele Bangura
(Shieldhill) landed another double this week – a fine 9lb 8oz rainbow in his 2
for 11lb on Sunday using lures.
Mr Laird (
9lb 4oz rainbow using powerbait from the bait pond in his 3 for 16lb.
Mr Bennett (Airdrie) landed
a 8lb rainbow in his 3 for 11lb 8oz using fly.
Fly fishers are finding a
floating line worked best with dries, hoppers, buzzers, diawl bachs, damsels
and lures. Bait anglers found spinners,
powerbait and maggot worked best.
