All anglers should note that Wellsfield Fishery is now open late till 10pm, 7 days a week for evening fishing sessions on all 3 lochans. The three lochans fish very well indeed this week producing hard fighting devon rainbows. Buzzers, nymphs and mini-lures worked best. The 3-acre bait pond is also fishing really well with powerbait and spinners. The average trout size was 3lb 3oz, with many fish in the 4lb – 6lb range. H Taggart (Grangemouth) caught a £50 prize Yellow tagged fish.
Two specimens were caught this week – J Harkins (Falkirk) landed a cracking 10lb fin-perfect rainbow in his 4 for 23lb and G Stevenson (Cowie) landed a fine 7lb rainbow in his 3 for 15lb,
