NEWS RELEASE

Looking to improve the chances of a successful fishing trip? Then check out the prototype of a new wireless propelled fishing float, recently launched to help ensure a catch – and much fun along the way.

Designed by Costas Constantino – the brains behind the talking parking ticket – the float is hoped to make an effective change to the lives of fishing fans all over the world.

Mr Constantino said: “This prototype is the first step in bringing technology to a basic tradition of float fishing and increases the chances of a catch as fish always like a moving target.”

In addition to making a catch far more likely, the invention also looks set to provide a more fundamental level of help for disabled fishermen or women who experience difficulties casting out in the traditional fashion.

The float boasts a spec. sea speed of 1.7 mph and is powered by two 1.5 volt AA batteries, which feed a three volt motor. This in turn powers a propeller, allowing the fishing gadget to be steered around weed areas and towards prospective fishing spots. This capability drastically reduces the risk of losing the fishing tackle or tangling the line.

The device is powered by a wireless remote, which allows the controller to move the device from a maximum range of 150 ft, facilitating flexible use in both fresh water and sea conditions.
