There is a huge £70,000 prize table at the 2009 World Carp Classic and thanks to the Title Sponsor, JRC, all participants will win a competitors prize meaning nobody will go away empty handed. Amongst the prizes are holidays to South Africa with a visit to an amazing game reserve, The Canary Islands in a lakeside apartment and Spain hunting for a different type of catfish. In addition to the prestige of being crowned Champions of the World Carp Classic, and the first £10,000 cash prize, there are a host of other prizes including first fish caught, overall biggest fish, best team and 10 overall section prize winners. There will also be a prize for the biggest fish caught in each section which keeps ALL competitors in with a chance of winning right up to the very last minute of the competition. A fantastic range of support prizes are also up for grabs.
All prizes will be handed out at the huge prize giving ceremony and even in the unlikely event that no fish are caught a draw will still be done. The World Carp Classic is proud to maintain this important aspect of the competition, when a prize table is published it is genuine and NOT reduced at the last moment.
24 countries including South Africa, USA, Japan, Turkey and Russia will be represented at Lac de Madine in North Eastern France this year and this has caught the attention of the International media. As a result of this there will be 11 International TV crews as well as 30 media persons on site covering every moment and every carp caught plus, of course, the fun, excitement and lighter side of the competition. A 4 part 2 hour series will be broadcast Internationally and an official DVD is being produced so if you have somebody that you know is competing or want to see some of the worlds most famous carp anglers in action you will be able to.
