Evesham Town & Ferry Waters – 63 Fished

Report by
Tom Scholey

A torrential downpour of rain just before the start of the match, added a little extra colour to the water, which once again fished well throughout its length. Drawn on peg 15, Luton rod Michael Buchwalder came out on top on the day with a 10-15-0 net. Michael started his match on a small maggot feeder, taking chunky perch and a couple of bonus eels. Halfway through the match, he switched to a 13m pole line that he had been feeding with hempseed, where he added a succession of quality roach to his net.

Similar tactics were adopted by Quorn rod Tony Marshall, who took second spot from peg 68. After a few early perch on the feeder, Tony switched to his 13m pole line where he found small roach on the hemp, that kept coming for the duration of the match.

Gary Seadon claimed third prize from peg 64. Gary again found quality roach on hempseed for a 10-3-0 finish.
