As it says on the Dragon Carp Direct website, Avanti have really gone ‘old school’ with this wooden pole rig box. I don’t know if there’s anything else quite like it on the market.
This is a product that I can’t really write tons about, as it’s simply a wooden box with a brass (or brass effect) fastening, hinges to match, finished in dark blue with the Avanti label on top. Inside, the bottom layer has a divider and there are a number of different-size pole winders included. The Dragon website says 40, but I actually had 44 in mine!
For the organised angler who likes to be prepared and have all his or her pole fishing rigs to hand, this is perfect. It’s something different than the usual plastic offerings.
The box measures approximately 37cm x 24cm and is about 6cm deep, so it should fit into any seatbox. The photo here shows it with rigs included, but please note that it’s only the winders that come with it. That said, they do sell lots of very good value made-up pole rigs on their website!
