Hold Back

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The surface flow fo a river is always faster than the flow near the bottom.

So when trotting it's imperative to hold your float back. (And fish over depth if you want your bait to bounce along the bottom).

At the end of your 'run through' always hold back for 5 or 10 seconds (count!) - you'll often get a better fish this way.
